Rita Baldwin

Rita is primarily a self-taught artist. For the last twenty years she has been experimenting with various impressionistic styles by using oil paints, brushes, tools and different painting surfaces. She is greatly influenced by the overriding mood of rural scenes and enjoys focusing on Chatham County landscapes. Over the years she has discovered that the process of each painting is a journey with an uncertain destination and relishes the surprises that are often revealed through a painting taking on a life of its own.
