Randi Markowitz
Randi grew up on Long Island, New York, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Design from Buffalo State College. She began her career in the garment industry as a jean merchandiser before joining MSNBC as an Assistant Art Director for The Brian Williams Show.
Throughout her career, Randi continued to express her creativity through professional photography and graphic design. In 2020, she rediscovered her passion for painting, exploring acrylics, handmade papers, ephemera, and other mixed media materials.
Inspired by nature, her work features butterflies, leaves, flowers, circles, and found objects layered to create depth, texture, and meaning. Butterflies are a recurring symbol of transformation, growth, and renewal, reflecting Randi’s journey as a breast cancer survivor.
Through her paintings, Randi hopes to inspire joy, resilience, and curiosity while reminding viewers that beauty and hope can often be found within life’s many layers.
Randi is a member of the Chatham Artists Guild, and her work is included in the permanent collection of the Hampton Inn in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
She also welcomes commissions, collaborating with collectors to create meaningful, one-of-a-kind artwork for homes and businesses.
